HGA Academy ("we," "our," or "us") operates the HGA Academy mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application. Please read this policy carefully. 2. Information We Collect

2.1 Personal Information Provided by You

When you register and use HGA Academy, we collect:

Full Name (as entered during registration)
Email Address (via Google Sign-In)
Phone Number (for OTP verification)
City, State, Date of Birth, Gender (optional profile fields)
Profile Picture (if uploaded)
Preferred Language (English or Kannada)

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

Device Information — device model, operating system, unique device identifiers
Usage Data — quizzes attempted, scores, progress, time spent in the app
Log Data — IP address, access times, app crashes and diagnostics
FCM Token — for sending push notifications

2.3 Payment Information

Payments are processed securely through Razorpay. We do not store your credit card numbers, debit card numbers, UPI IDs, or bank account details on our servers. Razorpay handles all payment processing in compliance with PCI-DSS standards. We only store transaction IDs, payment status, subscription plan details, and payment timestamps for our records.

To display your ranking on leaderboards
To process subscription payments via Razorpay
To enforce the one-device policy for premium subscriptions

4. One-Device Policy

For premium subscribers, your subscription is locked to the mobile device on which you first activated it. We collect and store your Device ID and Device Name to enforce this policy. The app will not function on a different device or on emulators/virtual systems while a subscription is active.

5. Data Retention

5.1 Active Subscribers: Your registration details, test history, performance data, and subscription records are retained throughout your subscription period and beyond for your reference.

5.2 After Subscription Ends: Your account, profile, test history, and performance data will be retained. You will continue to have access to free content. Your data will not be deleted automatically.

5.3 Free Users: Your account remains active as long as you continue to use the app.

5.4 Account Deletion: You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at support@hgaacademy.co.in. Your personal information will be permanently removed from our active systems. Some data may be retained in backups for a limited period for technical reasons.

6. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:

Razorpay — for payment processing
Firebase (Google) — for authentication and push notifications
MongoDB Atlas — for secure cloud database storage
Law Enforcement — if required by law or legal proceedings

7. Third-Party Services

Our app may contain links to third-party websites or services not owned or controlled by HGA Academy. This includes payment gateway partners and external reference materials. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party services. 8. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These include encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/SSL), secure cloud infrastructure (AWS), and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your Rights and Choices

Access and Update: You can access and update your profile information through the app settings
Account Deletion: You may request deletion of your account by contacting us
Communication Preferences: You can opt out of promotional communications
Data Portability: You may request a copy of your data in a structured format

10. Children's Privacy

Our app is intended for users who are preparing for government examinations. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us immediately and we will take steps to delete such information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy in the app, updating the Effective Date, and sending an in-app notification for significant changes.
